EDGE Jamboree 2002: The Rules of the Game

Each presenter has 20 minutes for the presentation, followed by 5 minutes of discussion by the discussant and 5 minutes for general discussion. An overhead projector and a white board will be available.

Presenters should prepare a presentation aimed at the general audience present. If you use slides, write clearly and readable. Do not put too much text and in particular formulas on each slide. Have in mind that 20 minutes is not much for a presentation. Make sure that you get the basic point communicated.

Discussants should prepare around 5 minutes of discussion. It is advisable to prepare a slide or two. Take care that they are readable!

The authors should make sure that the discussant is provided with a copy of the paper in due time before the Jamboree.

Copies of the papers will not be provided by the local organization in Copenhagen. Each participant should download the papers before coming to Copenhagen and each presenter should bring a few copies of his or her paper to the conference and should mail a pdf version to Mirtha C. Saavedra.
